We are deeply committed to a sustainable future.
As such we use only plantation timbers - mainly Victorian Ash grown in Gippsland, Victoria - and FSC® certified timber in the manufacture of our windows and doors. Forest Stewardship Council® awarded Paarhammer the first FSC ® certified window manufacturer in Victoria already in 2008. Chain-of-Custody tracks the FSC® certified material right through the production process all the way to the end consumer. Paarhammer FSC® products comply with the highest social and environmental standards on the market and give peace-of-mind to customers. (FSC Trademark License Code: FSC-C015342, Chain-of-Custody Certificate Code: SCS-COC-001887)
Why we choose ASH timber
Our commitment to good environmental outcomes goes beyond our products. Our new manufacturing facility is just one example of how we aim to keep our carbon
footprint as low as possible, with light management and water tanks.
Even our wood-shavings and off-cuts are being recycled into wood briquettes that are used to provide hot water and heat our factory during the winter months. Excess wood briquettes are for sale to the public, please contact us for information.
Professional finish done in-house.
In a state-of-the-art spray booth, windows and doors are spray painted or stained in a colour of your choice before all the seals, hardware and glass are installed.
All paint used is water based and does not contain harmful substances. The paint is non-toxic with low Volatile Organic Compounds (low VOC's).
Paarhammer products can also be ordered fine sanded only and ready for your own painting.
