Fire testing to BAL-40 with excellent results.
Paarhammer windows and doors in Red Ironbark timber were used for years in bushfire prone areas and satisfied the highest level of the previous AS (Level 3). Building materials now need to be tested by independent Fire Test Laboratories to comply with the different levels of the new AS 3959-2009.
Ian Bennie & Associates – NATA accredited Laboratory -recently tested Paarhammer bi-fold doors with excellent results.
Not only did the inward opening timber bi-fold doors achieve a 150pa water penetration rating and 0.3 air infiltration, they also passed the ultimate strength test of +2000pa with flying colours.
Newsletter 1, 2009 Paarhammer has further developed its shutter range to include options of different shutters to cover various BAL (Bushfire Attack Level) zones. Suitable up to BAL 29 are shutters made from Red Ironbark
