Normal single glass is a poor thermal insulator and offers little resistance to the passage of heat.
Paarhammer double glazed windows and doors have glass which consists of 2 panes (any glass combination can be used) with a sealed space 16mm in between. This space is usually filled with argon gas to provide better insulation properties. Our triple glazed products have 3 panes of glass (any glass combination can be used) with sealed spaces twice 12mm. U-values from a low 0.8 (WERS - Window Energy Rating Scheme).
Paarhammer windows and doors can incorporate a broad range of glazing options with the widest airgaps to achieve the highest thermal, and acoustic barriers through:
- Double or triple glazing;
- Toughened, laminated and tinted;
- Low-E and the new soft coat low-E;
- Sealed in-glass slim line venetians;
- I-Glass for instant privacy;
- Bushfire safe glass for safer living in BAL-40 and even BAL-FZ zones
All glass is made in Australia except BAL-FZ glass (origin: Germany)
New privacy features
Paarhammer privacy features have become an attractive option for many applications. We combine our double glazing with switchable I-Glass to achieve privacy or clear view at the flick of a switch, often used in entrance combinations or bathrooms.
