5x4 Hayes Lane

5x4 Hayes Lane Project was to utilise a small, urban footprint of land to construct a liveable dwelling. Whilst maximising the use of the limited space, the building does not sacrifice functionality and an aesthetically grounded contemporary design. Because this project is experimental and innovative, all the designs, processes and materials are shared on the 5x4 website to benefit the entire construction industry.

One of the owners concerns was that the knowledge gained throughout the build process can be used as a vehicle to showcase, demonstrate and inform. The 5x4 Hayes Lane Project  endeavours to do all this in an environmentally responsible manner, looking at the whole life cycle of the dwelling - from conception to decommission. The project has brought together various specialists in their respective fields to contribute to the success of achieving these goals.

Windows and Doors were very important in the 5x4 build. The building needed everything it could to help it feel spacious, and the expansive windows, sliding door and bi-fold doors add an indoor/outdoor aspect, with blinds and shutters shielding from both the sun and the neighbours!

The story of this house can be watched on Foxtel’s Grand Designs Australia.

The efficiency values of the windows from Paarhammer are very impressive, their least efficient product is more efficient than most other suppliers best performing products.

Kay G.

We live on a windy site, high up on a hill and three previous doors made by others all failed, but not the Paarhammer entrance door; secure, draft proof, looks amazing and everyone that comes to our house comment that it is the best looking door and we love it. Thank you again.

Lilly C.

Our windows and doors are beautiful. Also, the temperature in the house is very stable between day / night as well as winter / summer, which makes it extremely comfortable and saves on energy costs. Thanks to the team at Paarhammer!

Mark D.

We have had lots of positive comments, and everyone who comes here just loves the sliding doors!

Paarhammer really helped to reduce the stress of building. They were happy to discuss window and door options and looked at it with our needs in mind. We now have a house that we call home.
