The Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) enables windows to be rated and labelled for their energy impact on a whole house, in any climate of Australia. Paarhammer recently had some of their windows and doors re-tested with different glazing options and achieved excellent results. A Custom Rating on WERS provides an exact rating for a window product, based on its exact materials and specifications for frame, glazing and other components. Weather tightness is based on reported air infiltration data obtained according to the AS 2047 performance test. WERS is independent of any one manufacturer and acts as a fair,Entrance Door Video

Many factors and functions make a space: security, comfort, health, aesthetics, sustainability, energy efficiency and much more. But the focus is always on people. Windows are part of what makes spaces become alive and people feel comfortable in them. Living spaces. The TITAN hardware by Siegenia (Germany) is a new comfort element in Paarhammer windows. It includes a mechanical closure support that makes it easier to close the window, particularly in the case of large and heavy sashes. The additional comfort stay reduces the amount of effort required to close the sash from the tilt position due to integrated cushioning.Triple Glazing - Even Better
Monday, May 27, 2019
The trend for even better energy efficient buildings led Paarhammer to ever more research and development. And it seems clients appreciate it. While a large part of the window industry is still struggling to accommodate double glazing – often into existing frames which are not made to carry the extra weight – clients want more. Just in the last few months a number of orders placed at Paarhammer specified that even triple glazing with clear glass was not enough. Hence the new combination on offer is triple glazing with Viridian LightBridge; Low-E in the Architectural Timber or composite Wood-Alu Range.Optimum Window Placement

An important aspect in building, renovating or extending are windows and doors. Not only can they define the outside of your home but they are also important to the way you use each room. They let in natural light, allow for a view, and how you interact with the outdoors. Living areas facing north If at all possible orientate your living areas towards the north. Then add large windows to get the best natural light with the biggest amount of solar heat gain in winter and heat protection in summer. This test as per Australian Standard AS2047-2014 covers Structural Deflection, Air Infiltration, Water Penetration Resistance and Ultimate Strength, and was performed by a NATA-accredited testing facility in Melbourne. Under the National Construction Code (NCC), the Building Code of Australia (BCA) is a set of technical provisions for the design and construction of buildings throughout Australia. External hinged doors with a level threshold that stop drafts would be the ideal in many situations. No door draft stoppers - or fabric door snakes - just a perfect level seal to keep out drafts, noise and water. This is now possible with the new patented barrier-free magnetic threshold by Alumat-Frey GmbH, Germany. How does the barrier free door threshold work? When the door is closed, 2 double seals with silicone contact in the threshold are automatically attracted to the 2 magnetic strips at the bottom of the door. The seals come up from the level threshold, meet theBushfire Compliance

Flame Zone (BAL-FZ) product testing requires successful completion of the AS1530.8.2-2007 test. This test has a 30 minute furnace cycle and a 60 minute cooling down cycle in which the product still has to keep its integrity. Part of the test is also a radiant heat requirement of a maximum of 15kW/m2 on the inside. Paarhammer BAL-FZ products showed a heat flux on the non-fire side of between 1kW/m2 and 2kW/m2 in the test, depending on the product. This is just 1/10th of the allowed radiant heat. To put this into perspective, naked skin can tolerate 5kW/m2 for approximately 10 secondsBi-fold Doors to open up your house
